Windows

I dropped by the house today and found that the windows are being installed bit by bit and even the front door frame has been installed with the frosted glass either side of the main door. I see they have even swept the floor throughout the house, so it looks rather tidy.



This is my kitchen window which goes the entire length of the kitchen bench. There are two ovens in the middle of the bench with a convection cooktop.



This is the window in the home theatre.

 

Here are the rest of the windows for upstairs.

This is the front view of the house, the two windows are in the master bedroom.

 



 

This is our Front Door frame work. It has two frosted glass panels either side of the main door.

Invoice

We got the email from Porter Davis with the next invoice for the frame. No wasting time in getting their money. 

The Frame is nearly completed.

Framers should be finished this Tuesday

Second storey

By the end of Thursday 20th June, we had evidence of our second storey. Dylan was very excited to see his bedroom taking shape, and his small balcony. 

The guys had to flatten the front driveway so a huge crane can get in to lift the windows up to the second storey.

Frame time

We were told that the Frame was to start on Thursday the 6th June. We got home from work and raced around to the block to see our amazing Frame, and nothing had happened on the block all day.

Friday 7th June -  No workman

Tuesday 11th June - No workman

Wednesday 12th June - No workman

Thursday 13th June - No workman

Friday 14th June  Some evidence that men have been on our site, the chairs were there ready for morning break,

The Invoice for the slab

Porter davis wasted no time in emailing us the invoice for the concrete slab. Our first progress payment done and dusted, only five more to go.

The SLAB was poured on the 4th June 2013

Our slab has been delayed due to the unusual wet winter weather. We have not had rain in ten years, and the minute we make the decision to build a new house, the weather turns bad for us. We had to wait a week before the slab could be prepared and then poured, but it was done on the 4th June.
